Synopsis of the Meeting

The following synopsis was prepared by Chester Pogonowski, the Chair of the JZC:

  • The minutes from January were approved.
  • The treasurer's report and bills list were approved.
  • JMZO-2022-01 - Wireless Ordinance. Kushto authorized to circulate current "Cohen" draft of ordinance and technical manual to township PC's & BOS's for review and comment. Included within the ordinance is a start on the "renumbering of definitions in the body of the JMZO" which will be edited by the Chair and Solicitor.
  • Kushto will send letters to Managers, Solicitors and Board Chairs to schedule and complete township review of:
    • Jointure Agreement (UMT)
    • JMZO 2022-02 - Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (UMT, WT)
    • JMZO 2022-03 - Billboard (UMT, WT)
    • JMZO 2022-04 - Expansion of Nonconforming Structure (NT, UMT)
    • JMZO 2023-01 - Parking Core Apartment (UMT)
  • JMZO 2024-01 - LI/O-LI Overlay. Kushto authorized to circulate to township PC & BOS for review and comment.
  • Comprehensive Plan - Corrections from all three townships have been received. Wolff and Stoff authorized to finalize a clean copy of the Plan.  Kushto will work with the Planners to distribute plan and to outline next steps.
  • There was an open discussion initiated by Mack on the Sign Provisions of the JMZO. No action taken. NT was asked to recommend changes for problematic sections.
  • Next meeting,  Thursday, March 7.

John Mack Proposes Changes to JMZO Sign Ordinance

Under “New Business,” I initiated an open discussion on the Sign Provisions of the JMZO and recommended that the JZC take on the task of implementing changes to problematic sections such as those that refer to neon signs. The following is the video segment of that discussion:
