PA DEP Hosts Q&A Session on Elcon Proposal

The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) hosted a public meeting regarding Elcon Recycling Services, LLC's (Elcon) proposed plans to construct and operate a hazardous waste treatment and storage facility to treat and store liquid waste at the Keystone Industrial Port Complex in Falls Township, Bucks County. Officials reviewed the status of waste management, air quality, and stormwater management permit applications. I was surprised about the amount of toxic pollutants the proposed permit would allow to be released into the air.
