#NewtownPA is putting out “Requests for Qualifications” (RFQ’s) seeking to perhaps hire a new engineering firm (especially Traffic Engineer) to replace RVE, and a new Audio/Visual company. In addition, a traditional Request for Proposal (RFP) has been issued for Various Banking Services (due by 4:00 PM, February 17, 2025) to replace TD Bank – a foreign-owned (Canadian) bank.
A RFQ is a document that asks potential vendors or suppliers to provide information about their skills and experience. It's often used as a preliminary step in the procurement process for products or services.
Three RFQ’s have been posted to the township's website:

At the January 6, 2025, Newtown Board of Supervisors (BOS) public meeting, Bucks County NAACP Executive Board member, Barbara Simmons, proposed bringing the county’s latest community-based mural project to Newtown Township, Middletown Township and Newtown Borough.
Through the creation of community-created and inspired murals, the project seeks to bring groups together in an effort to break down barriers, to be inclusive rather than exclusive, to learn about each other and to embrace each other.
Similar mural projects have taken place in nearby Morrisville, Falls, Bristol Township and Bensalem. One is also planned in Doylestown.
“What we would like to do in Newtown. is use the highly-visible pedestrian bridge that connects George School and Newtown Borough above the Newtown Bypass (between Buck Road and South State Street),” Simons told the board of supervisors. “This would be a great place to have a unique mural that would use the chain link fence to display the artwork,” she said.

"Victory is NOT guaranteed! The Newtown Sewer Plant Fight Continues . . . we will not give up. We have new objectives and our support is growing!"
"We are writing to express our sincere gratitude for your overwhelming support in our fight against the proposed Newtown Sewer Plant! However, our fight is far from over. While we have achieved significant short term goals, the threat of harm associated with the proposed Newtown Sewer Plant still looms large. The Sewer Authority continues to push forward with their plans and we must remain vigilant and prepared for the long term challenges ahead."
