Newtown Votes to Delete Planned Residential Development (PRD) from JMZO

Newtown Township Solicitor Definition David Sander introduced JMZO 2017-04, which is an ordinance amending the Newtown Area Joint Municipal Zoning Ordinance (JMZO Definition) to delete Planned Residential Development (PRD Definition). In this presentation, Mr. Sander summarizes the history of PRDs in Newtown and why there is a need to part ways with this ordinance. The Board passed the ordinance by a 5-0 unanimous vote. Upper Makefield and Wrightstown must also approve this ordinance for it to take effect.
