Should Newtown Allow a Super WaWa on the Bypass?
At the May 14, 2018, Working Session of the Newtown Township Board of Supervisors public meeting, details of the application for a Super Wawa convenience store and gas station at the southwestern corner of Newtown Bypass and Lower Silver Lake Road were presented by the developers (read “Developer and Attorney Present Their Case for a WaWa Superstore on the Newtown Bypass”).
Given that the process of amending a zoning ordinance to allow this usage may already underway, it is imperative that the public participate as much as possible in the process. To aid in that process, John Mack conducted a survey via Newtown Patch. This was not an official Newtown Township approved survey. Its purpose was solely to inform John Mack – a Newtown Supervisor – of the public’s opinion regarding this issue. 1,000 responses were collected.
