September 2019 Newtown Township Police Report: Speeding Citations Drop

In September, the Newtown Police Department responded to 1,794 total calls, 365 (20%) of which were in Wrightstown Township (Newtown Police provides services to both Newtown Township and Wrightstown).
Traffic Citations Down for Month Of September
The Newtown Police Department issued a total of 111 traffic citations in September 2019 compared to 158 in August - a 30% drop. 45 (41%) of these were for speeding compared to 55 (35%) in August. That's the fewest number of monthly speeding citations this year.
